Come Worship with us! Newcomers Welcome! Everyone is welcome to bring their Kindergartner through Sixth-grader to St John's Sunday School every Sunday at 9:30 AM

The Pastor each Sunday leads us in Word and Sacrament. For the worship experience to be more meaningful, many lay people are involved.

     
Role of the lector
 

The Lector is responsible for reading the first and second Bible readings prior to the Gospel.

Music and worship
 

The Worship and Music Committee works closely with our Pastor to plan services and fellowship programs throughout the church year.

Council
 

The Congregational Council coordinates activities of the church and sets policy in areas not delegated to other committees.

Property
 

The property committee of St. John's Lutheran Church is the entire church membership.

Stewardship and Finance
 

The Stewardship and Finance Committee consists of lay members who commit their time to manage the financial well being of the Church.

Nursery
 

Hi everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and are ready to begin our 2015 year in the nursery.

Sunday School
 

The Sunday School begins at 9:30 am with an opening service. In which the children participate in; as acolyte, reading of the prayer of the day, the gospel and the collecting of the offering.

Youth Group
 

The Youth Group is made up of young adults from grades 7th through 12th grade. We meet one Sunday each month from September through June to have a Bible lesson and discussion.

Youth Sunday
 

Youth Sunday at St. John's traditionally occurs in late January, the same day as our congregational meeting.

Chime Choir
 

St. John's has a terrific chime choir. Hand chimes are similar to hand bells, but they are less expensive, both to purchase and to maintain.

St. John's has a wonderful women's choir. We sing at the 10:00am Sunday service from September thru June.

Pastor
 

The Rev. Alexander Kennedy was called to serve as pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in June 2013.

Organist
 

Originally from Washington State, Denise is a frequent soloist and collaborator in the New York City area.

As baptized followers of Christ we, through faith, commit ourselves in all we do to reach out and share God's unconditional love so that others may become followers of Christ along with us.
